Here’s the festive event you’ve all been waiting for in Los Alcázares, the Christmas dip in the Mar Menor!
This is NOT a sporting event, it’s just for fun, and many of those taking part don Santa costumes or other festive attire, and its popularity grows year by year as it cements itself in the December calendar along with other traditions. The swim is held over a distance of just 100 metres – even I could manage that! – and of course it’s accopmanied by plenty of music, fun and laughter.
The swim is being held this year on Sunday 21st December at 12.00 midday, at the beach of Playa Carrión next to the Club Náutico Mar Menor, and registration is now open online here at a cost of 10 euros.
