Shop smart this Black Friday with Consumur's friendly advice
Think twice before buying and know your rights while hunting for the best deals
Black Friday is fast approaching ,in Spain, and shopping excitement is in the air, but Consumur, the Consumers and Users Network Association, reminds us to be savvy shoppers. Their top tip? Avoid buying on impulse. “Buying at a lower price does not mean spending less money,” they warn. Think about what you really need and compare prices and quality in different shops before diving in.Look out for items you’ve wanted for a while but maybe were too expensive before. This could be the perfect chance to grab them at a better price. But no matter the deal, remember your basic consumer rights still apply. All products on sale must clearly show original and discounted prices.
If you’re shopping online, be extra cautious. Make sure the company is reputable and provides detailed product info to help you decide. And always remember there’s a 14-day period to return things bought online.

Before you pay, check the store’s return policy, especially if the product isn’t defective. Refunds are not always guaranteed in those cases. Keep your receipts safe as they’re your proof of purchase.
Finally, Consumur encourages everyone not to give up their rights if something feels wrong and to report any scams or fraudulent activity. Help is just a phone call or visit away, so don’t hesitate to reach out.
With a bit of planning and care, your Black Friday shopping can be both fun and fruitful!
