Warm and mostly sunny weather continues: Alicante weekend weather April 16-19
Coastal areas will stay mostly dry and sunny, while inland areas may see showers and the odd thunderstorm

Alicante is heading into a run of mostly settled spring weather, with plenty of sunshine and gradually warmer days. While coastal areas are expected to stay dry, there is a growing chance of showers and thunderstorms developing inland over the weekend. Overall though, it will feel pleasant and warm for the time of year, especially in the afternoons, with only light winds across the province.
Thursday April 16
Thursday will be mostly clear with plenty of sunshine. Night-time temperatures will be slightly higher than in recent days, while daytime temperatures will dip a little but only inland. Winds will generally be light and variable, although parts of the northern coastline could see a moderate southerly breeze for a time around lunchtime.
Friday April 17
Friday will stay mostly sunny, with some clouds at times, giving the sky a slightly hazy look. Night-time temperatures will change little, while daytime temperatures rise slightly. Winds will be light overall, with a gentle southeasterly breeze in many areas and a slightly stronger southerly breeze along the northern coast again at lunchtime.
Saturday April 18
Saturday will be much the same with plenty of sunshine and some cloud. As the day goes on, clouds will build inland, which can happen sometimes as temperatures rise. There is a chance of showers developing later in the day, and these could occasionally turn thundery in inland areas. Temperatures will edge up slightly again, with light winds turning easterly in the afternoon.
Sunday April 19
Sunday will follow a similar pattern. It will stay mostly clear along the coast, while inland areas could once again see cloud building during the afternoon. A few showers and thunderstorms are possible inland, although many places will stay dry. Temperatures will change little overall, with daytime highs dipping slightly. Winds will remain light, with an easterly to southeasterly breeze developing around midday.
Overall, it's a return to the kind of weather the area is known for, with plenty of sunshine and comfortable temperatures. It's the perfect time to get out for a walk or a hike before the hotter summer temperatures start to arrive.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in Alicante this weekend:

- Thursday April 16: Min 12ºC, Max 25ºC
- Friday April 17: Min 12ºC, Max 26ºC
- Saturday April 18: Min 13ºC, Max 28ºC
- Sunday April 19: Min 13ºC, Max 28ºC
